January 27th 2004 -- Version 0.6.0 release candate one is ready for download in the software section. Many new features exist over the previous release version.
  • dcmbase - a new table domain for storing DICOM metadata. This domain comes with two new services:

    1. dcmbase_import - imports dicom files by parsing out verious DICOM tags the copying the files to a storage location.
    2. series-download - Web server for downloading an entire series.

  • Unified build environment - You can now type make install from the top directory and everything ends up where it is supposed to go.

  • framework - The framework has been completely rewritten and has a new service: http-thumbnail which can make thumbnails of many file types including dicom files.

  • autopath - The old microscopy domain has been completely rewriten both the server and client side and is now called autopath.

April 29th 2003 -- WE HAVE FILE UPLOADING!!
Over the last month work has proceeded on implementing Service Host functionality. Among others, the following service host programs were written:
  • mifarreg - A program to register a computer with a Mifar database.
  • A program to receive file uploads via an HTTP post operation.
  • A program for downloading files via an HTTP get or post operation.
The General Webclient is able to query the database to find registered services and it knows how to invoke the ones listed above. Try to send it a file if you like. Currently it is set to only accept files that are 512KB or smaller.


April 29th 2003 -- Bug and Issue Tracking System
A bugzilla database was setup for tracking bugs and issues in Mifar development. To give yourself a bugzilla account go here. A new page under the software section displays the target milestones we are currently working toward. The easiest way to list all the outstanding issues in Mifar is to use the links on the milestones page.

I've uploaded a screen shot of the Gernal File Record View page. More screen shots are on the way.

March 4th 2003 -- I've set up an on-line demo of the Mifar Web Client version 0.3. This is just a start, much functionality remains to be added. Use the account guest and password go_hawks to login.

Feb. 26th 2003 -- Slides from the Mifar Overview presentation given to the U of I, Pulmonary Imaging Group have been added to this site. These slides were exported using OpenOffice so that should work for any browser.
