APPENDIX 2 - GENERAL PARAMETERS

In AIM: Reset the values of all pixels less than 1 % air content and all pixels greater than 99% air content to 0.

In 2-D Segmentation: Reset the values of all pixels in the chest which are less than 30% air content to 0 and all pixels outside the chest to 0.

In ROI: Generate statistics only on those pixels whose values are between 10 and 99.

OVERALL: Only those pixels which represent air contents between 10% and 99% are counted.
