Patient History
12-old-girl with a week of history of deepening in color of urine and
increasing itchiness of the skin. There was occasional right upper
quadrant pain after food, but no fever. Blood test shows an elevated
serum bilirubin and other liver enzymes. Ultrasound examination of the
abdomen reveals a large cystic mass in the expected location of the
common bile duct, with diffuse dilatation of the intrahepatic biliary
system. Gallbladder is normally seen without stones. A heavily T2W magnetic resonance cholangiography and a MR venogram were performed using a 1.5 T GE machine without breath holding.
