Hypoplastic Aortic Arch


Patient History

The patient is a 32 year old male with a hypoplastic aortic arch. At age 4 years, the ascending aorta was enlarged for supravalvular aortic stenosis repair. At age fifteen, a 20 mm woven dacron graft was inserted from the ascending to descending aorta for hypoplastic aortic arch. The graft was replaced 9 years later. He was recently diagnosed with sever aortic insuffuciency secondary to homograft failure, moderate mitral insufficiency, modertae tricuspid insufficiency, and status post homograft replacement.
