
ERIC A. HOFFMAN received B.A. degrees in
physiology and psychology from Antioch College in 1974 and the
Ph.D. degree in physiology from the Mayo Graduate School of
Medicine in 1981. He previously had been a research fellow and
consultant at the Mayo Clinic, primarily in the Biodynamics Research Unit, from 1975-1987. From 1987-1992, he was on the
faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where
he was a member of the radiologic science and physiology department and chief of the Cardiothoracic Imaging Research Center. He
is currently at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, where
he is an associate professor of radiology and physiology and chief
of the Division of Physiologic Imaging. His research interests are in
cardiothoracic imaging and physiology and multidimensional image
analysis and visualization.
