Sequencer

The Sequencer module is used to re-arrange the order of your slices, or to combine multiple files into a single file with, for instance, multiple phases. A number of scanning protocols provide images which are shuffled. This provides a relatively painless means of re-ordering the data provided that the user has prior knowledge of how the images need to be re-binned. The directions for the re-combination of input files is written in the text window. The output file is created in the Analyze format which is compatible with the other VIDA modules.

To call up this module:

*Press the right-mouse button down on the File Manipulation button on the VIDA main panel.
* Drag the cursor down to the Sequencer menu item.
* Release the right-mouse button to select the Sequencer menu item.

The text window is where the program finds the directions for what input files and what output files are to be used and what way to recombine the input files. The user may use their standard text editing methods here. To edit in this window position the mouse cursor in the window and left click. To move the cursor use the arrow keys on the right keypad. The user can copy or cut the selected text using the Copy and Cut keys on the left keypad. With the Paste key, you can then paste the text elsewhere in this or another text window. Copy, Cut, and Paste are available on the Text Editor menu, along with many other options. To bring up the menu the user presses the right mouse button in the text window.

Terminal Emulator Window

The terminal emulator window is a command interpreter that accepts operating system commands. This window show the user if the sequence work or not by displaying the appropriate messages.
