Movie Maker Panel

Movie Script Button:

The Movie Script button opens up another Surface Render: Movie Maker panel. This is where the user "programs" the details of the movie sequence such as number of, angles of, rotation of, color of, and shift of the object(s). For more information.

Stop Button:

The Stop button is used to "stop" the generation of a movie being produced by the module.

Continue Button:

The Continue button is used to "continue" the generation of a movie being produced by the module.

Destination Buttons:

Canvas:
This displays the movie images to the Surface Render main canvas.
Disk:
This stores the generated movie " filename.img" file and "filename.hdr" file into defined diskspace.

The Directory: line prompts user to type in the directory the output files should go to.

The Filename: line prompts user to type in a filename (without the ". extension". This is done for user when the files are written to the diskspace.).

Shm:
This is not implemented yet. Should store the generated movie " filename.img" file and "filename.hdr" file into shared memory.
DAT:
This is not implemented yet. Should store the generated movie "filename.img" file and "filename.hdr" file on to a DAT tape.

Frame Range Options:

Frame Start:
Either type in the start frame (slice) remebering to type return or use the up and/or down buttons to select the start frame.
Frame End:
Either type in the end frame (slice) remebering to type return or use the up and/or down buttons to select the end frame.
Increment:
Either type in the number of frames (slice) remebering to type return or use the up and/or down buttons to specify the next frame to encode into the movie. Use 1 for encoding every frame into the movie. Use 2 for encoding every other frame into the movie and so on.

Output Dimension:

The Output Dimensions are give by width x height in pixel dimensions. Either type in the width, x, and height remebering to type return or use the menu list. The menu list can be accessed by placing the mouse cursor on the Output Dimension button and clicking on the right mouse button. Some standard output dimensions are listed.

Preview Button:

The Preview button will always display the movie sequence to the Surface Render main canvas. It samples 5% of the total number of edge elements of each object for fast display. Then generates the frames as instructed in the movie script.

Generate Button:

Creates the movie frames as instructed in the movie script. The output goes to where the destination is set.
