Volume Render: Select Volume Panel

Shared Memory Volumes List:
Choose the files that you wish to display from the file list of the VR: Selecet Volume panel. All images currently in shared memory are present in this list. Use the scroll buttons beside the panel to scroll through the image files currently loaded in shared memory. To select an image, you left-click on its name in the file list, at which point a highlighted box surrounds the image's name in the list. Only one image file can be use at a time. To deselect an image, left-click on its name in the list again and the box about the name should disappear or click on another image file in the list. Then click on the Apply button.
When the Volume Render module starts up the first volume image data set in shared memory is loaded into the module and is ready to access even though the Volume Render main canvas header does not display the volume's name. After the Apply button is clicked on then the Volume Render main canvas
header displays the volume's name and a number which by default is the first phase of the image data set and middle slice. If the volume image data set contains more than one phase then phase line appears so the user may select the phase to be rendered.
Please note: if the image volume set selected is a 16 bit one, then Volume Render programs will not work. The shared memory volumes list lets the user load the file but in the VR: Render Parameters panel and error message will be displayed when the render button is clicked on. See LAF: Properties Panel to change the 16 bit file to an 8 bit file. Then re-load the file.
Phase Line/Slider:
The Phase line allows the user to select which phase to be displayed in the
Volume Render main canvas header displayed here. Either type in the phase on the line (remembering to hit return afterwards) or use the slider to change the phase.
Please note: if the volume image data set selected has only one phase
then the phase line/slider will not appear.
Apply Button:
The Apply button activates the choice from the shared memory volumes list.
Reset Button:
The Reset button will highlight the last image that was selected and then Apply button was last activated.
